Everything changes and nothing changes for the new iPhone models. As was rumored months ago, the size of the space dedicated to the sensor was going to be significantly reduced, as happened at the time with the iPhone company in Cupertino.
Discover with us all the latest news on the new iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, Apple’s best-sellers.

Design: Few new features, but enough
The design hasn’t changed much, but the truth is that Apple’s printer seems to have ink again. There is a range of bright colours, although white and black are retained, bold shades arrive, such as a fuchsia pink, an aquamarine green and a rather particular blue.
The size of the space dedicated to the dual photographic sensor has been considerably reduced. In this sense, we have a vertical arrangement leaving the LED flash on the right side, which, at least in my opinion, is much more aesthetic.
- The dynamic island
- Next-generation Face ID
- IP68 resistance
Of course, the size of the device and the material used for previous versions of the iPhone are retained. This will be, for now, one of the main differences with its big brother, the iPhone 16 Pro in its two variants. For its part, The weight has barely changed by a gram, so we won’t make any special mention of this issue.
What we have is a new capacitive button on the side, reminding us of the use we gave to the Home button in the past.
Screen, sound and connectivity, almost unchanged
The new iPhone 16, in both its variants, has panels Super Retina XDR display (OLED), adjusting their resolutions to the size of the panel, to keep the 460 pixels per inch intact. This will look familiar to you from the iPhone 15 versions, since there are no changes.
The panel continues to be one of the highest rated on the market, while the display update remains fearless, i.e. Apple continues to bet on 60 Hz in the panel, something that clearly has nothing to do with battery capacity, since the “Pro” version, with variable refresh rate, is not much bigger.
At the sound level, andThe iPhone 16 in both versions has a dual stereo speaker,
- Special mention is the USB-C 2.0 which only transfers 480 Mbps.
- Second generation UltraWideBand.
- MagSafe wireless charging.
Connectivity-wise, we have pretty much the latest versions of everything. Wi-Fi 7 in order to achieve the maximum speeds available on the network, as well as Bluetooth 5.3 Compatible with all high-end devices. In this case, the iPhone still has a microSIM tray available for mobile connectivity, which can be accompanied by the now classic For example digital, all that to access networks 5G, which in this case are still not compatible with the mmWave protocol which would offer the highest speeds and which is limited to the United States of America.
Power and autonomy
The iPhone 16 in its two variants will mount the new Apple A18, a processor that is directly inspired by the Apple A17 Pro present in the iPhone 15 Pro last year. In this case, they take advantage of the new 3-nanometer lithography, but the power will be the same, so it will be compatible with all Apple’s artificial intelligence systems, which for the moment will not benefit from our coverage since they will not be offered in Spanish.
As for the battery, it is The iPhone 16 will have one with a capacity of 3,877 mAh, while the iPhone 16 In addition, it will reach the not insignificant figure of 4,006 mAh, So it’s expected to be the iPhone with the longest battery life yet.
Lights, camera and… Action!
The capacitive camera action button is here to stay, and is available in both versions of the iPhone 16. However, the cameras, or at least the sensors, bring rather little new in this regard.
- Master bedroom: 48-megapixel wide angle, with a size of 26 millimeters, an aperture f / 1.6 and an optical zoom x2, as well as the mechanical stabilizer. It is capable of recording videos in 4K resolution up to 60 FPS without breaking a sweat.
- Ultra wide angle: A 12-megapixel sensor, 13 millimeters in size, f/2.2 aperture and autofocus, without mechanical stabilization.
- Selfie camera: 12 megapixel true depth, with f/1.9 aperture.
So, as you may have noticed, The iPhone 16’s cameras remain exactly the same to those of the previous version, only improving the Ultra Wide Angle aperture.
All this from 959 dollars for the iPhone 16, and 1,109 dollars for the iPhone 16 Plus. Reservations begin on September 13 at 2:00 p.m. on Apple’s official website, and the first deliveries will take place the same day. September 20.
