iOS 15.6.1, iPadOS 15.6.1, watchOS 8.7.1, and macOS Monterey 12.5.1 are now available to all users.
While operating systems like iOS 16 continues its course and recently they launched the sixth developer beta, a few weeks after its launch, Apple has not neglected iOS 15 yet. If last month we saw the arrival of iOS 15.6 with iPadOS 15.6 with many many new features, recently they have iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1.
These versions, which arrive accompanied by watchOS 8.7.1 and macOS 12.5.1 Monterey
What’s new in iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1
As we mentioned, with iOS 16 getting closer, hopefully the iOS 15 updates won’t be too big. iOS 15.6 has been one of the most decaf after the release of the operating system, and the truth is that neither with iOS 15.6.1 nor with iPadOS 15.6.1 will you notice big changes on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Instead, Apple focused on fix some small Bugs and errors in the operating system, as well as certain vulnerabilities at the level of security that it is important to update. Among other things, iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1 seem to fix a security flaw in WebKit which could affect applications with access to the web browser such as Safari, as well as other vulnerability present in the kernel operating system.
The eponymous version watchOS 8.7.1 does the same with the Apple Watch, focusing on fixing a few bugs and offering security improvements. And, in the case of macOS Monterey 12.5.1Apple is limited to talking about security patches in the operating system, so we would not expect to see anything new.
