Predictions were that Apple was going to launch a new beta version of iOS 17 and so it went: iOS 17 beta 2 is now official. Remember that we are not talking about “developer betas” because now betas can be installed by any user. A lot of bugs have been fixed in this new beta and Apple has also added some cool new features that weren’t included in the first version. We will see all this news from beta 2 of iOS 17.
New Features Coming to iOS 17 Beta 2
First, Apple improved the information offered to users via iOS 17. For one, beta news is included in the Settings app, along with information about the various beta programs users can subscribe to. On another side, small informative balloons are included in all applications
Additionally, a new option has been observed in the location configurations, which has been baptized as Microlocation. Apple hasn’t reported anything regarding this feature, so it’s possible that it was a bug that was included in this beta. Two options in the location options have also been removed.
It was also included Crossfade option in Apple Music. The function can be configured from the settings by selecting the fade time. On the other hand, a new option has been added in StandBy which allows send notifications marked as “critical” even in standby is disabled. And finally, Apple added new Apple Music widgets in different sizes.
