IPhone internal storage has been growing over the years, however it is becoming more common for many users to run out of internal space as they go installing apps, games, photography and video recordings.
If you go Settings> General> iPhone or iPad, you can see on the graph the apps and services that use the extra storage space and you will be surprised by the large percentages that contain the "Other" or "Other" category.
What exactly is in "Others"?
Apple claims that this data entitled "Other" contains device settings, Siri voice, system data and cached files. As far as small program configuration files can be made, Apple does not allow removal, however Cache files can allow us to free up space
So what exactly do those "archive files" look like? Yes, it's about files used or stored by apps. Many of the requests we have with the previous period have passed, most details will be stored in the "Other" section.
How to minimize the location of "others" on the iPhone
Reducing space in this category is directly related to applications that have access to a lot of data, so similar music applications Apple Music or Sotify and social media apps are the best.
If you have a few songs downloaded from Apple Music or Spotify, the song space is stored in "Others". From Settings> General> iPhone or iPad you can see apps that use more space, if you're using Apple Music, you can sign in again delete songs directly from this section
But without a doubt the apps that store the most data on our devices are social media, and the fastest and easiest way to erase all the data they store is to delete it from the iPhone and re-enter it. In the case of WhatsApp, too we can go to chat by removing files, such as photos or videos, that we no longer want.
One way to delete all the information in the "Other" section is to restore the iPhone or clear all data from Settings> General> Reset> Clear content and settings, but in this case our device will remain newly installed in the factory, even if we now install the applications initially, the data stored in "Others" will be deleted.
If you want to get some space, another way that Apple offers is to eliminate less-used apps, an option that comes up Settings> General> iPhone or iPad storage> Remove unused apps, with which we can save a few GB of data.
