Apple always has a tendency to congratulate the holidays and the Happy New Year in one way or another, and this time it used one of its hit series to do so. The company launched a Christmas animated short by Ted Lasso, in which all its protagonists congratulate Christmas.
“The Missing Christmas Mustache”
The video presents the original voices of all the protagonists in English, and tells how Lasso loses his mustache and has the help of all the protagonists to fix it. There are four and a half minutes of what can be considered a short film, without claiming to be a special episode.
The moral of the video is not to strive for perfection to celebrate Christmas, and embrace all the unexpected which make of these festivals and of this daily life something “imperfect”. Inevitable reminiscence of the devastation that the pandemic still causes in the world.
You can see the video on his YouTube channel. At the moment it’s only available in English, but if you want to see a Christmas message in Spanish, you can check out the video shot with an iPhone by Ivan and Jason Reitman. Be careful, this is something more sentimental.
