When the famous "spike" of coronavirus infections seems imminent, it's time to many think what they should do next to end the epidemic, and "Open Coronavirus" offers us an alternative based on a successful South Korean model.
When the time of general detention we all have at home is over, it's time to find out what to do the ability to continue to fight coronaviruses at the same time that the population is slowly restoring its normal function. Knowing the main sources of infection and reducing the general population is what the Open Coronavirus offers us, following the Korean model that is widely discussed these days. With the support of a large-scale COVID-19 test launch and geolocation control, we were able to accomplish this, and in this project there are three different modules:
- Citizen App: Mobile application for citizen cooperation to control the spread. Since the application is tested for diagnosis and its effects are observable, citizen mobility is controlled to control potential infection and identify the primary sources of infection. It will give us a QR code that will identify the user.
- Software control software: appointed by the health and epidemiological regulatory authorities to contact and monitor the COVID-19 movement. You can see sources of infection, compliance and isolation, etc.
- Authorities App: a portable application for authorities that will be able to read QR codes of citizens and control their movements.
In summary, we can say that only people with a “green” (virus-free) QR can freely spread and restore their normal functioning, while those with a yellow or red QR, sources of infection, should continue to be protected by isolation methods. This is the user should have performed the test and given permission to the app to track our movements using GPS
It is not an application that will be published in the App Store, because a project like this needs the support of the national government to launch. What happened is that make the project 100% effective for the government that will need to be modified and modified to comply with current laws, and that in a more ambitious yet fully accessible way it aims to offer a solution to the coronavirus-related health problem in Spain and around the world.
