If you have a swimming pool, you are very lucky, but also a responsibility with its maintenance which will take to a whole new level with this Aiper Seagull Pro robot. Once you try it, you will never be able to do without it again.
Anyone who is told that having a swimming pool is a nuisance is sure to laugh, especially with these summer temperatures we are experiencing right now. On the contrary, it is an enormous opportunity, but it implies a great responsibility in its maintenance to always have the water in optimal conditions, not only for the swimming pool but for the health of our skin. In recent years, salt water chlorinators and automatic pH control have completely changed this task, but now we have taken it to the next level with robot cleaners. Wireless, automatic and with great autonomy, this Aiper Seagull Pro is one of the most complete models on the market for performance and power, and we’ve tested it to tell you how it works.

Aiper wanted to give its Seagull Pro robot vacuum cleaner a robust and sporty design. Large, heavy and very robust, it looks like a sporty SUV with its four large motorized wheels and the PVC front roller that will take care of removing dirt from the bottom and walls of your pool and send them back to be sucked up to its inner tank. It has an 18 cm slot to collect dirt of any size: dust, leaves, plastics, etc.
The only type of control you have is a large wheel located on top of the robot, which lights up with a circular LED that indicates the remaining battery level: green when it is above 90%, blue when it is between 50 and 89%, yellow when it is between 10 and 49% and red when it is below 9%. By turning the dial, you can select the type of cleaning you want to perform from the three available modes:
- Automatic: floor and walls. First, it will clean the floor in an “S” pattern like robot vacuums do at home. When it reaches 50% battery, it switches to cleaning walls.
- Floor
- Paredes
In the back we have the hatch under which the removable and washable dirt tank is located. Its cleaning procedure is simple and quick: you empty the tank and clean it with a hose to remove the debris that sticks to the filters, and put it back in its place, ready to pick up the dirt again the next time you clean it. On the side we find the charging port, covered with a rubber plug that isolates it when submerged in water. And finally in front twe have a handle by which we will take the robot with the hook included in the box
Functioning
Preparing to clean the bottom of the pool when using a manual pool cleaner is a ritual that takes almost more time than the cleaning itself. Unrolling the tube that connects it to the treatment plant and placing everything perfectly so that no air enters the circuit (I have never succeeded) is a procedure with which you almost always end up wet or dirty. For that alone, it is already worth using the Seagull Pro, which Just pick it up, turn the dial to choose the type of cleanse you want to apply, and place it in the water. The robot will slowly descend to the bottom, look for a wall and start the cleaning procedure. From there, your work is done and you will not have gotten dirty or wet.
The robot will perform the entire cleaning process as established. It doesn’t matter if your pool is 50 or 300 square meters, because the robot will keep cleaning until its battery runs out. First floor then walls (if you have chosen the automatic mode). My pool is about 50 square meters, so it wouldn’t take long to clean, but it’s never a bad year for a lot of wheat, so I don’t mind. The most impressive thing is to see how it goes up the walls of the pool until it reaches the water line, a marvel. When the robot is done cleaning, it will approach a wall and stay submerged and turned off, waiting for you to pick it up. Here we find the only small flaw that I find: I would have loved a notification on my iPhone via an Aiper app to let me know
