Nothing is forever, not even the mobile battery. When the mobile battery is low enough, your mobile notifies you so that you canand you plan to plug it into a charger.
This can vary from layer to layer, although traditionally on Android you’ll receive notifications when you have 20% and 10% battery left. In Android 14, the warning is much more imminent: it jumps out at you when you have 2% battery leftwith red flash included.
Alarm, mobile will turn off soon
Sometimes we have so many notifications on our mobile that we don’t even pay attention to them. The same can be applied to important notifications such as those telling us that the mobile battery is almost at the end of its life.
In Android 14, at least in the beta we have today, we are not notified when the battery is at 20% or 10%, but rather the warning is logged for the most critical moment: when you have 2% battery left.
When this happens, you’ll get a notification that says “2% battery left. Please charge your phone or it will turn off soon.” So that you do not miss the notice, it is accompanied a sound and a red flash. This is probably a good idea because 2% really doesn’t give you much wiggle room, and as soon as it drops to 0% the mobile will automatically turn off.
If you are one of those who they prefer a preventive opinion around 10%, the bad news is that this one doesn’t seem to be sending anymore. Now we are talking about a Developer Preview which is still very early, so everything could change between now and the official summer release.
