Health Connect, or Salud Connect, was launched last month in order to centralize all the health data that is collected from a mobile, whether it is from a smart bracelet or this watch which quantifies all this data. It would be via Android 14 with which Google wants to make an important leap so that Salud Connect is the axis of the mobile.

Health Connect to unify
Truth be told, now there is no unifying standard all health data collected from all Bluetooth-linked accessories with the phone. Each brand goes its own way with its own app, as is the case with Huawei’s Salud and many more from other brands.
And it is that without Salud Connect, the fitness applications developed should be design integrations for each application individual brands that exist in the Google Play Store.
This utility, via Android Police, serves as an intermediary on the deviceencrypted and which works offline to be the axis of all the data collected from the different applications.
That is, the data were extracted from the smart bracelet from Xiaomi and the watch you use from Huawei when you go to work would go through Health Connect so the user can see the general graphs, not this mess that is currently switching between apps.
Android 14, the best solution
It went through the update Android 13 QPR2 beta for Pixel mobiles which includes a Health Connect package, which dropped that this app would be part of the Android 14 system.
Mishaal Rahman, used to dealing with this type of leak, nuance that Google will develop Project Mainline as a module for Health Connectand thus keep data offline, while receiving updates via Google Play instead of Android updates.
And in fact the Gerrit AOSP Repository suggests that this Health Connect app will be part of the Android 14 service system to become a pre-installed app outside the scope of Pixel phones.
