Good news for Xiaomi mobile users. The company has started updating the first devices outside of China to the latest version of Google’s operating system, the new Android 15. However, this does not mean the update to HyperOS 2.0 is herebut it is an important step before its inevitable launch.
The update to Android 15 is already coming to the Xiaomi 14 in its global version and its version for Europe, which means that Xiaomi has activated this update just a few weeks after its debut on the Google Pixel, excellent news for users.
Android 15 is already arriving at Xiaomi, the arrival of HyperOS 2.0 is almost here
Although Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO mobile users are waiting for the update to arrive for HyperOS 2.0the new version of the self-developed operating system used by the company’s devices, the arrival of Android 15 on the first Xiaomi phones is not an easy feat: from this update we will be able to take advantage of its new features.
The Xiaomi 14s were the first devices to receive the update to Android 15, and more devices are expected to follow in the coming weeks. This version arrives with the HyperOS 1.1 interface and includes some Major improvements to performance, animations and interface for recent apps and for lock page. For example, the update fixes an issue where app folder icons did not appear correctly on the Home screen and an issue with Always On Display.
The update to Android 15 is already starting to reach the Xiaomi 14 in its global version and for Europe. Here are the versions of the update, depending on the region:
- Europe: OS1.1.4.0.VNCEUXM
- Global: OS1.1.3.0.VNCMIXM
This is not an update with radical changes For the user experience, these changes will arrive with HyperOS 2.0, a version that should be available at the end of this year, according to recent estimates. Currently, Xiaomi has already released the stable beta version of HyperOS 2.0 in China.
HyperOS is an operating system developed on different pillars, including Android. In the case of HyperOS 2.0, not all devices that receive this update will also receive Android 15, some will continue to work with Android 14.
This was the case last year, when not all devices that received HyperOS 1.0 received Android 14, with older or less powerful models remaining on the Android 13 version even if they received the MIUI update 14 to HyperOS.
