Google has just launched a new Android Auto update in stable version, that is to say available to all users. This is version 11.2, which we heard about in beta last week and which took very little time to reach everyone.
There stable version of Android Auto 11.2 It retains the two new features that we knew before: the warning that our phone is too hot and the new design of the Google Assistant.
What’s new in Android Auto 11.2
There’s a new Android Auto in town and, as usual, the first thing we did was test Android Auto 11.2 for new features. Many times this search comes up with nothing, as Google usually frequently updates Android Auto with internal changes, but on this occasion arrives with two new features
The first of them is the new design of the Assistant. When we invoke the Assistant by pressing the microphone button (or the button provided for this purpose on the car controls), the Assistant interface is integrated into the keyboard or the side panel, depending on the configuration of ‘Android Auto.
The idea is that the Assistant interface is displayed in secondary places like on the button panel or in the section reserved for widgets, to prevent it from covering the card while it appearswhich I personally think is a great idea.
We have become aware of the second change in the beta version and it is a notification that It will warn us if our phone overheats while we use Android Auto, which is relatively common. In the stable version, the warning continues to show, so either it doesn’t work very well, or what Android Auto considers “too hot” is actually a bit mild.
It is usual that phone overheats when using Android Auto, especially if we connect it without cable and it charges wirelessly. If the phone overheats, it will run slower and the Android Auto experience will be worse, and there may even be disconnections. Now the application will notify us so that we take it more into account.
The notification itself gives us the idea of turn off mobile screen
Android Auto 11.2 is already distributed via Google Play, so it is possible that it has already been updated on your mobile. The new version is version 11.2.640404 and Here are the steps to follow to update:
