Android Auto 9.3 beta now available with mysterious new tweak that’s more and more needed

Just in time for Easter, Google released a new beta update for Android Auto, Android Auto 9.3 beta. The update is already available for those who are part of the beta program on Google Play, as well as from its APK.

We tested Android Auto 9.3 Beta looking for new features and found a new setting in the app called Start of the application,

which by itself doesn’t seem to make much sense in Spanish. In English it appears as Starting the app (launch application), which makes more sense. The menu still does not work and closes the application and gives us an error in the LogCat system.

As it doesn’t work yet, we can only speculate that everything indicates that this would be a setting to choose which app opens as soon as you start Android Auto.

It’s a pretty cool setting that we didn’t have in Android Auto yet, and it’s becoming more and more necessary as Google gradually opens its hands on the types of apps allowed in Android Auto.

For the rest, Android Auto 9.3 Beta does not appear to have any other differences from previous versions and does not include the settings overhaul with Material You or any other changes visible in Coolwalk. Yes, expect others to be included correction of errors internal.
