Android Auto is making its way into the market and more and more models are compatible with Google’s vehicle multimedia system, and one of the next manufacturers to join it will be the legendary Porsche. The firm has already announced its intention to integrate several models from its range to Android Auto from the year 2022.
The German automaker has announced that in 2022 its new vehicle multimedia operating system will arrive, known as Porsche Communication Management, equipped with 10.9-inch screens to control key parts of the car by touch, and also for use as a multimedia center. And this system will come with built-in Android Auto.
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for the Porsche 2022
Until now, media systems in Porsche vehicles have focused almost exclusively on Apple Car, but that is about to change and this was revealed by the brand in one of its latest statements. The one that indicates that Android Auto is on and that we will see him arrive aboard his models in 2022.
Until recently, Android Auto was coming to Porsche vehicles via updates to older models, but now the German firm has communicated that Android Auto will also be on board the new cars from 2022, and that the first to integrate it from the factory will be the next Porsche 911.

In addition to the arrival of Android Auto on the new vehicles of the firm, the next Porsche will also offer a SiriusXM 3-month trial subscription with 360L which we cannot renew in case we are not interested in the service.
Porsche indicates that this update to its Porsche Communication Magament will not result in loss of Apple CarPlay compatibility Thus, owners of the next Porsche 911 2022 will benefit from compatibility with both services from the moment they have a new car.
