In addition to its new charger with its box with less plastics, Anker presented the first cable made with materials of vegetable origin. According to the manufacturer itself, some 662 million cables are used worldwide each year, which means the use of 43,000 tonnes of oil and 9,000 tonnes of plastic. Plant materials such as corn or sugar cane have been used to make the outer sheath of these new cables.
