Apple today “somewhat unexpectedly” announced the Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro are coming to iPad this month. Of course, they will only do this under a subscription model.
The long-awaited moment has finally arrived. One of the best video editors finally lands on the iPad to enrich the use cases of the Cupertino tablet and give (a little more) meaning to the Silicon chips they have been implementing for a few years. Apple boasts that Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro will have an all-new touch interface that directly takes advantage of the iPad’s multi-touch capabilities:
Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for iPad feature all-new touch interfaces that allow users to enhance their workflows with the immediacy and intuitiveness of multi-touch. Final Cut Pro for iPad presents a powerful set of tools that allow video creators to shoot, edit, finalize and share, all from one portable device. Logic Pro for iPad puts the power of professional music creation in the hands of the creator, wherever they are, with a comprehensive collection of sophisticated tools for composing, creating beats, recording, editing and mixing.
Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for iPad will be available for the aforementioned subscription model for a price of $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year, with one month free trial. Final Cut Pro requires an iPad with an M1 chip or newer, while Logic Pro requires an iPad A12 Bionic or newer. Apple has also confirmed that both apps will be Available on the App Store from Tuesday, May 23.
Great news for all creators, editors and iPad users who wish to have two of the most powerful tools in this area on their devices.
