Apple always tends to launch new products every year with the aim of updating generations. Last year was a strange year for not having new generations of iPad. However, Apple raises a renewal of AirPods at the end of 2024 with the launch of AirPods 4 and the second generation of AirPods Max, all with a charging case with USB-C. We tell you everything below.
New AirPods 4 and AirPods Max 2 expected at the end of 2024
Analyst Mark Gurman announced in a report at the end of 2023 that Apple was considering a total renewal of AirPods throughout 2024. And everything seems to be so. Apparently, according to Gurman, the new AirPods 4 they will see the light with new design and sound quality improvements as well as a new charging case with USB-C connector like, for example, the current AirPods Pro 2. These new headphones will receive new charging capabilities. active noise cancellation and a speaker in the charging case, as in the Pro models in order to be able to find the headphones when they are not in sight.

This way, Apple will leave behind the rest of the standard AirPod generations and only sell these 4th generation headphones. On the contrary, They are also working on the second generation of AirPods Max, premium headphones that haven’t been updated since launch. These new headphones will have a new USB-C port, leaving Lightning behind, but without major changes in terms of designs except receiving new colors.
For his part, Gurman is sure that AirPods Pro will be updated throughout 2025 with a new design and a new H3 chip capable of improving all the functions of these Pro headphones.
