Rumors are emerging about Apple’s mysterious 20-inch foldable device and it could be a hybrid of MacBook and iPad.
There is a strong rumor about what Apple’s new foldable device could be. The mystery revolves around a possible hybrid between MacBook and iPad, with a 20-inch screen. This appears to be confirmed by Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman.
Initially, it was DSCC’s Ross Young who raised the possibility. At this moment there has been talk of a merger between Apple and various suppliers with the intention of creating a folding product.
Possible news
The comments were enriched by the details that came out and gave a lot to say. In principle, the size itself is a surprise because so far the predominant panels of MacBook Pros have been 16″. Moreover, in the words of Gurman, this novelty could be equipped with the qualities of both types of keyboard; nail screen that connects to a physical keyboard (detachable) and has a virtual keyboard on one side of your screen.
In Gurman’s own words, Apple”I’d trade the physical keyboard and trackpad for a full touchscreen docking station”. For his part, Young announced that it would be a true dual-use product, adding as a tentative launch date, from 2024, not before.
Details about your design
Despite the fact that the 20-inch foldable device is still just an idea, designer Antonio de Rosa has released some sketches that show what he thinks the design of the upcoming device will be. In his opinion, when folded, this hybrid will display a shape very similar to that of a MacBook.
However, by being able to deactivate the numeric keypad, the screen wears out more and allows it to be reconverted according to the function that one wishes to give it.
There is still a long time to come and it remains to be seen whether Apple decides to bet on this novelty or not, as has happened on previous occasions.
