It looks like Apple wants to release larger iPads in 2023, including a massive 16-inch model.
A few months ago there was a rumor that Apple was working on a larger iPad and now a new report from information offers us new details. The report quotes a “person familiar with the project” and reveals that This new iPad will have a 16-inch screen and could be launched next year.
The the launch of this model would be in the fourth quarter of 2023coinciding with the renewal period of the iPad Pro Although, as usual, the report warns that Apple’s plans could change and the project could be canceled altogether.
The device would further blur the line between iPad and MacBook, bringing the tablet’s screen size in line with that of Apple’s largest laptop, which also has a 16-inch screen. Apple’s largest iPad currently has a 12.9-inch screen.
A larger iPad for professionals
most likely it’s a version of the larger iPad Prowhich could revolutionize the current range. information
A 16-inch iPad would likely be for creative professionals like graphic artists and designers who prefer a larger screen.
Apple would have several options: eliminate the 11-inch model and have two 12.9-inch and 16-inch iPad Pros, replace the 12.9-inch with the new 16-inch, or keep all three models. maybe that would make sense remove 11 inch modelseeing that the iPad Air have become a kind of iPad Pro.
Previous rumors also indicated that Apple could prepare a 14-inch iPad, but it would not be an iPad Pro. Apple could prepare several larger iPad models for the next year. Mark Gurman and Ross Young, major Apple leakers, also bet on it.
Does a bigger iPad make sense?
The the size of the iPad has continued to grow since its launch, both in the basic model and with other models. It seems that the standard iPad size has hovered around 11 inches, but the truth is that if you want a bigger iPad, you will have to spend a lot more money.
Apple has already done this this year with the iPhone 14 Plus, so it would make sense to follow the same strategy on the iPad and offer a larger model without having to opt for a Pro. And to differentiate it from the iPad Pro, it makes sense that this one is even bigger. We’ll see what news we get next year.
