Apple has grown so much in India that it is already the most valuable company in the country. A clear indicator of where we are headed.

Apple, Clear, Company, Country, grown, headed, India, Indicator, valuable

When we talk about key countries for Apple, India has undoubtedly crept to the top. In recent years, it has been observed how this country has become a real haven for Apple to be able to share your manufacturing work with China, and thus distribute their way of working and avoid long-term problems.

The latest information indicates that Apple has indeed increased its operations in the country by 20 times thanks to tax breaks, including the opening of factories to assemble iPhones. But the growth and expansion throughout this territory is such that has become the fastest growing company over the past fifty years.

India, Apple’s new consolidated logistics headquarters

But beyond the logistics growth that the Cupertino company has experienced, it has also turned to iPhone sales, which increased by 30% over a year. A response that also fits with the fact that Apple has lowered the price of iPhones, as has already happened in China, in order to combat tough competition.

China shakes hands, but Apple doesn't suffocate. Its rise in India completely changes the strategy with the iPhone

According to data provided by The Economic Times, Apple’s growth figures translate into its operations value rising from Rs 1.15 lakh crore ($13.7 billion) in 2023 to Rs 2 lakh crore ($23.5 billion) so far in 2024. A staggering growth that has effectively set an all-time record in the country in terms of growth.

And these numbers are going to increase, and India is going to become more and more important on Apple’s map. Rumors already suggest that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be fully assembled in India. Something that we will solve when we have these iPhone 16 in our possession and see the classic “Assembled in…” on the back.

But if we look at the market share, we can already see how it has gone from an “insignificant” figure of between 0 and 5%, to today a turnover of 8 billion dollars per year. But even if the country manages to charge this large sum, the iPhones assembled in the country and sent abroad have a valuation of $15 billion.

With this, it is clear that we are clearly heading towards a dominant position of Apple in the country and that it will continue to advance. Independence from China is a clear objective for the company led by Tim Cook and that today is giving very satisfactory results.

However, not everything is rosy. The Competition Commission of India has already investigated Apple and accuses it of having a dominant position on the App Store. This is something we have already experienced in Europe, but in this case, the investigation will have to start from scratch due to various controversies over the amount of information that should be captured in this report.
