It’s been a week, just seven days, since WWDC 2021 kicked off. Last Monday, June 7th Apple presented its latest software developments for all your platforms. And one of the highlights was iOS 15. A new version of the system which, while not a revolution, is full of changes.
Since that day, betas are available for developers. This way, and over time, the update will be fine-tuned so that it reaches consumers in the best possible condition. And, in the process, we have the opportunity to discover all these details which were not mentioned at the conference.
For example, one of the more recent discoveries affects gamers. From iOS 15, compatible games will be available a new design for the virtual pad. The virtual pad is the virtual steering or buttons and controls of the camera that are displayed on the screen with no physical controller available.
With the new version, and from what has been seen in the images, the virtual pad will be even more minimalist
In addition, and as indicated in one of the WWDC21 sessions, each developer will be able to choose which buttons will be displayed. This way, we won’t have a single unnecessary control on the screen. Consequently, we will have more space
Overall, iOS 15 brings with it a new gaming experience. Features that will be available to developers, in order to improve the gaming experience for users. And in a few months, we can start to see the results for ourselves.
