On May 17, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia was celebrated. Taking the opportunity, as Apple has done in recent years, Special Pride Edition straps and faces were introduced for the Apple Watch. This action is another push from a big company like Apple to try to support the LGBT community. This year, the Pride edition has two new bracelets and a new dial for the clock. As a novelty we highlight that this 2022 two straps have been introduced instead of one and one of them from the Nike edition.
These are the new Pride Edition bands for the Apple Watch
A week later than usual Apple introduced its Apple Watch bands under the 2022 Pride edition. We say late because the Big Apple usually launches these campaigns on key days. On this occasion, May 17 is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia and this date was formerly used for the announcement. However, until a few minutes ago we had no information about this year’s special straps and dials.

But ultimately they are with us. Apple has decided to launch two bracelets instead of one as we are used to under the Pride edition. The first is the Sport buckle strap,
On the one hand, brown and black represent LGBTQ+ people of color who have experienced discrimination, as well as those who are living or have lived with HIV and AIDS. And, on the other, light blue, pink and white pay homage to both trans people and those who don’t identify with any gender.
On the other hand, we have as novelty a new Correa Nike Sport Buckle with a nylon fabric inspired by BeTrue, a Nike initiative for equality in the world of sport. To wear the matching suspenders of this Pride Edition Apple also launched its new face to commemorate the day. This bracelet is also priced at 49 dollars.
Available today on the Apple Store Online
Also, in the description of the new accessories, it is specially commented the financial support that Apple provides to organizations that promote the rights of the LGTBQ+ collective and working for positive change, including: Encircle, Equality Federation Institute, Equality North Carolina, Equality Texas, Gender Spectrum, GLSEN, Human Rights Campaign, PFLAG, The National Center for Transgender Equality, SMYAL, The Trevor Project, and ILGA World.
these straps are now available in the online Apple Store but not yet in physical stores. In physical stores we can buy them from May 26, this Thursday.
