Apple will release a new software update to address some issues in its operating system.
The iOS 16.4 update brought many new features to the iPhone, such as the inclusion of 21 new emojis, push notifications for web apps, voice isolation in calls, and new device architecture. Home app, among others. After its release, Apple’s software engineers have already started developing iOS 16.5 and its first beta versions.
But what Apple engineers didn’t know was that they would eventually focus their efforts on developing iOS 16.4.1. A very reliable source of MacRumors assures that “Apple is already preparing the release of iOS 16.4.1” for iPhone. The reason? It has a very simple explanation.
These are the new features that Apple will introduce in iOS 16.4.1
The imminent arrival of iOS 16.4.1 has only one cause. Apple urgently needs to address two issues. There are many similar cases in older versions of software, from the company with the bitten apple logo, they tend to update their software periodically to cover vulnerabilities, fix serious issues, and improve system stability.
For example, in late March 2022, the company released iOS 15.4.1 to address an issue that caused battery drains faster than normal and to avoid disconnections on the MFi headset.
Now, with iOS 16.4.1, Apple wants to fix the issues caused by the Weather app. Currently is not available and does not display any weather information. This could be due to a system vulnerability or a crash in your provider’s servers.
The other issue that iOS 16.4.1 will fix is related to Wi-Fi connectivity. Some devices are having trouble connecting to certain Wi-Fi networks and many users need re-enter your passwords continue to use the Internet.
We don’t know exactly when iOS 16.4.1 will be released. The leak doesn’t offer a release date for the new version, but it most likely will. Apple releases iOS 16.4.1 this week or, failing that, next week.
