Apple is now ready to convert iOS to Android

Apple Store app

The absence of freedom has been precisely the virtue of iOS. A controlled environment in which only what passed through Apple’s filter could be installed, and we are not just talking about users, even developers were affected by the yoke of the Cupertino company which even filed lawsuits against creators of Fortnite.

Apple has agreed to give up the essence of iOS and is ready to allow applications to be installed outside the App Store.

So, a little more than a month before the deadline set by the European Union, the end of iOS as we know it can be felt from here.

It is once again Mark Gurman who emphasizes that Apple is now fully prepared to comply with the Digital Markets Act imposed by the European Union. Recall that Tim Cook (Apple CEO) and Margrethe Vestager (European Union Competition Commissioner) met at the North American company’s facilities in early January, although the subject or content of this meeting have not been revealed.

As we know, this Digital Markets Act requires Apple to allow third-party developer app stores to be installed on iOS, as well as encourage downloading software through any means other than the native iOS App Store. Furthermore, forces the Cupertino company to offer the possibility of using different payment methods, which makes Apple’s future uncertain, knowing that it usually charges 30% royalties for each of the operations carried out either through the App Store

such as through in-app purchases, which is why many providers such as Netflix or Spotify have different prices in the iOS app, or do not directly allow subscription through it.

I am sure that this will mark a before and after in terms of safety and especially in terms of quality, what do you think?
