Apple launches iOS 18.1 RC a week after the official version with these changes

Apple confirmed that on October 28 In a week, iOS 18.1 will be available worldwideand today it released the final beta with new changes to fix some issues with the iPhone 16 and improvements to the Messages app.

iOS 18.1 will be the first version in which we will be able to see the first functions of Apple Intelligence, or rather, those who are in the United States and whose iPhone is configured in English will be able to see it. After several weeks and a good handful of Betas, Today the latest beta version was released, the so-called Release Candidate (RC).

If there are no last minute bugs, it will be identical to the public version which will arrive on October 28 for all compatible devices. In addition to all the new features that we have already told you about in previous betas, this latest version resolves certain issues and adds improvements to RCS messages:

  • Messaging with businesses (Business Messaging): Now RCS messages (already arrived with iOS 18) can be used to speak directly with businesses for support and other topics. Remember that RCS messaging is like WhatsApp but with Messages, compatible with Android, which allows you to send messages over the Internet, and not through conventional SMS, so we can send emoji, GIFs, images, videos… free of charge.
