Following the long-awaited official release of iOS 14.5, Apple has started releasing beta versions of iOS 14.6. A week ago we saw the first release and now the developers have already released the second beta of iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6.
In addition to this version, Apple is also currently releasing the second beta of tvOS 14.6 for Apple TV and HomePod and the watchOS 7.5 second beta
iOS 14.6, what’s new?
This is certainly an important update, but in the first beta of iOS 14.6, no good news was found. The main improvement allows users who have the profile installed to install betas upgrade directly to the Release Candidate version without deleting the profile, or they will be able to upgrade to each beta. We understand that errors will also be corrected.
“Software Update: New features in iOS and iPadOS 14.6 Beta. You can now directly update your iOS or iPadOS device to the latest Release Candidate without removing the beta profile. After upgrading to Release Candidate, you can choose to upgrade to the next available beta or uninstall the profile to remove your device from the beta.“.
For the moment, these are the Unique new features found in iOS 14.6 beta, although if new features are found in this second version, we will communicate them.
How to update to iOS 14.6 beta
To install this iOS 14 update, you just need to have downloaded the developer profile and go to Settings> General> Software update, download the new update, and wait for your iPhone or iPad to restart.
Public betas will be available very soon, although for the final version of iOS 14.6 we will have to wait. Also, keep in mind that the iOS 15 presentation at WWDC21 is fast approaching.
