Apple didn’t want to start its Christmas vacation until all the homework was ready for the developers. If you are one of them, you can now download the first beta of iOS 15.3, iPadOS 15.3, tvOS 15.2 and watchOS 8.4. This release comes right after the first beta of macOS Monterey 12.2, so all platforms already have their respective drafts.
Very little change … yet
At the moment, there is no significant news in this beta. In 9to5Mac they did a first code review and found internal changes to the Siri API, but it’s something very minor and shouldn’t matter to us. It is not linked to any novelty or function prepared by Apple.
There are also no major changes found in watchOS 8.4 or tvOS 15.3: if there are any, they are still hidden by Apple. Rumors say these versions might finally bring the universal control feature to Macs and iPads (slated for release next spring), but that’s something that might not happen until iOS / iPadOS 15.4.
As we always tell you when new beta releases arrive, the best thing you can do if you are a general user is to wait a few weeks to directly install the final stable version. These beta versions are unstable, can have errors and can jeopardize the integrity of your data. Therefore, only install them if you are completely sure what you are doing and you take responsibility.
