iPhone 12 or later users can take advantage of MagSafe technology, which is nothing more than a disk of magnets built into the back of the phone to magnetically attach accessories, including chargers. Apple has its own MagSafe charger, but third-party manufacturers have them too, such as Belkin with the BoostCharge Pro MagSafe Pad. - charging power: Not all MagSafe chargers can charge the iPhone at the same power as Apple, which is 15W, but the Belkin MagSafe Pad does. It is recommended to use a USB-C power adapter (not included in both cases) of at least 20W for a good experience.
- Cable: The advantage of these MagSafe chargers compared to Qi bases is that they allow the iPhone to be charged while in use and without monopolizing the Lightning connection. Depending on the length of the cable, we will have more or less freedom, and that of the Belkin BoostCharge MagSafe Pad is two meters and braided
- integrated support: The Belkin MagSafe Charger incorporates a removable stand to provide the ability to place it on a table or surface and consume content while recharging the battery. This, however, makes it heavier.
- Colors: Apple only offers one finish for its MagSafe charger, and that is money. Those interested can purchase the Belkin proposal in black or white.
- Price: the price of the two chargers is the same, costing 49 dollars for Apple and 49.95 dollars for Belkin.
Apple MagSafe Charger VS Belkin BoostCharge MagSafe Pad, which one to buy?
Both chargers have a power of 15W, so there will be no problem charging the battery of compatible iPhones at maximum speed. You have to look at other points. Apple’s proposal is compatible with accessories such as stands, in case you want to use it alternatively. But the Belkin Pad has a longer braided cable to last longer, as well as a built-in stand and attached strap to keep it organized when not in use.
