The problem with Apple Music or Spotify among other music content platforms is the number of things they have to handle. Millions of songs, and thousands and thousands of albums and artists, all over the world. Real laziness.
Now Apple Music has developed an "alternative" version of the album we are listening to. From now on it shows you all the different types of album the song you're listening to.
Apple Music now has an easy way to manage other types of albums, a late version of the original app provided by Beats. Before if there were more than one version of an album we were listening to, they would appear on the artist page only.
Now something is different. If there are multiple album types available, they are displayed in the dedicated "other" section under the album list.
You will only see other genres when you touch the album cover. This is a more organized way of doing it than it was before. This work was already used on the Beats platform, which was taken in the past by Apple. In 2018, Apple Music has already copied another feature of Beats. This was a split of song albums and EPs on the artist page.
Apple Music also lets you see your most listened to music list so far this year. Last year, Apple Music introduced the Apple Music Replay feature, which shows you your most listened to songs of the year. From yesterday you can listen to “Replay 2020”, with the most popular tracks this year, even though we are in mid-February.
