Apple Music also wants you to hear your artists live!
Apple Music is one of the apps that Apple seems to be focusing more on lately. After having published more and more precise proposals, or announced events with the most popular artists in the world, the service confirmed this week the arrival of a new feature that will allow music fans to be aware of the events of their favorite artists.
The ability to discover events will be available in 40 new guides that have been selected by Apple Music editors. These guides focus on highlighting the “best places to experience live music in some of the world’s best cultural hubs”. Each guide will also display upcoming shows for that location directly from Apple Maps, powered by Shazam.
The functions that will be available today they intend to share the best of the world music scene. From Apple they claim:
From Vienna’s iconic Symphony Halls to cutting-edge techno clubs in Brooklyn and Tokyo, these hand-picked selections, currently spanning over 10 cities, are everything music fans need for an unforgettable evening.
For the moment, cities where Apple Maps guides will work they include Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York and San Francisco in North America; Berlin, London, Paris and Vienna in Europe; Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney in the Asia-Pacific region; and Mexico City in Latin America.

Besides, Apple Music is rolling out a new Playlists feature that “highlights a selection of major tours”. This allows fans to listen to setlists for specific shows and read about the show’s production.

To take advantage of this feature, simply go to Apple Music and follow these steps:
- Open Apple Music and choose the Browse tab at the bottom.
- Select Set Lists at the top (you can also use the search tab to find it).
- Scroll through featured artists on the song list, tap one to play (or save the playlist).
For more information, you can choose Discover upcoming shows to see where they’ll be performing next and look for the Get Tickets button when it’s available.
