Among the many health functions Apple Watch currently includes, or is expected to include, there is one striking: its water-sensing ability. With this system, Apple adopts the Apple Watch system when the user is in trouble and calls the paramedics.
Water analysis and contextual analysis
According to the patents, the Apple Watch of the future can detect the presence of water and if communication is important, install other sensors to detect potential water properties. A watch can, for example, determine whether it is fresh or salty water and then drop a variety. The Apple patent indicates that when saltwater is detected, geolocation can determine the user's position and based on this decide to notify emergency services as well as making space.
Some sensors can be especially effective detection of viruses or chemical elements in the water and warn the user not to jump into a particular body of water or leave immediately if a charge has already occurred.
The patent places great importance on how the device can work distinguish between the best contacts, with liquid such as rain or sweat, and shallow depth. In a sense, it would be expected that future clocks would have some kind of pressure sensor, in addition to the current barometer, to perform these calculations.
At present, the patent opens up more questions than it answers. But one thing is clear, Apple is investigating how to turn our clocks into more capable devices.
