Apple is working on incredible technology that would revolutionize augmented reality without the need to wear glasses like Apple Vision Pro, thanks to a recently granted patent
THE next patent you will see below, you could have seen it years ago in futuristic images. Have you ever searched for a technology that doesn’t really exist? The patent This is an Apple projector that displays combined augmented and virtual reality content on your desktop or on the walls of your home or office without having to use augmented or virtual reality glasses or a screen in front of your eyes. According to Patently Apple, those from Cupertino presented the most sophisticated version of a patent that has existed for a long time
The next step for Apple Vision Pro could be an augmented or mixed reality projector
The projection will go squarely between a mix of low and high resolutionalthough the same device rotates to be compatible with different surfaces. Another scenario What the patent indicates is that a user facing another wearing Apple Vision Pro can see the content without wearing glasses.
This would be achieved thanks to an augmented reality light system which would be used to project an image in 2D augmented or virtual reality content. It could be projected onto a surface such as a table or the floor of a room so that others can see what the person wearing Vision Pro is looking at.
What is more surprising is that There is already a product that could better illustrate what this patent refers to.. For example, 9to5Mac illustrates Apple’s patent with a product called Hololamp
Apple’s projection technology could be adapted to a light bulb or lamp holder
The really important thing about Apple’s patent is that it’s not necessarily a projector like the Hololamp. Technology It would adapt to different shapes like that of a light bulb or a socket.. The important thing is that lighting system components fit into a structure which is made of a “semi-transparent or transparent material”. It may require connection to the power supply, although it would be important that it has some form of independent battery to operate, as is the case with the Apple Vision Pro, although the latter is of short duration.
On the other hand, The Apple projector would rely on both visible light and infrared cameras so that it can detect the scene where the content is going to be projected.. This way, sizes, shapes and textures will appear more real. Although it is true that it is still a patent, It’s good news that Apple is working on new technologies which can revolutionize the way of seeing things, between real and virtual. Something better than having an Apple Vision Pro with an iPhone as a screen.
