Apple has delayed new product launches slightly this year compared to previous years, so everything that usually happens in the month of March has been moved. end of April, as we have already seen.
However, the event did not disappoint anyone due to the list of novelties presented, among which the iPad Pro of 2021 with M1 chip as a big novelty, as well as the redesigned 24 inch IMac.
The new 24-inch iMacs have already been on sale since the end of April (April 30), despite the fact that Apple authorized the reservation of material from its launch.
The same happened with iPad Pro with M1 (2021), which could also be reserved from its launch. However, the receipt of the first devices purchased by users will not be effective until mid-May.
However, all this product availability initially announced by Apple, could be affected in the coming months, since it is the company that warned that these products were suffering from delays and out of stock in components.
Coinciding with the presentation of the company’s first quarter results, where broke a new record, Tim Cook himself confirmed that the shortage of components will mainly affect the ipad and iMac.
“The limits come from the semiconductor shortage that affects many industries and is a combination of the shortage and the high level of demand we have for both iPad and Mac,” concludes the CEO of Apple.
Since Bloomberg report that the new iPad Pro (2021) is coming in a first wave, although the initial stock could be drastically reduced due to the lack of components to manufacture, among other things, their new mini-LED displays.
This production problem could mean that the iPad Pro M1 with a larger screen, the one corresponding to 12.9 inches (the only one that incorporates this mini-LED technology), it would be shipped later and would be available in limited quantities.
