Apple on Thursday released macOS Sonoma 14.3.1, a point update for macOS 14.3. According to the release notes, the update includes bug fixes, including a fix when “text may duplicate or overlap unexpectedly when typing.”
According to Apple’s Security Releases website, “This update has no published CVE entries,” meaning it does not contain security fixes that resolve issues logged in the database. Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) data. Apple is also working on macOS 14.4, which brings new emoji and other performance improvements and security updates.
How to install macOS 14.3.1
Before installing the update, we recommend that you back up your Mac data. Installation requires an Internet connection and the Mac will need to restart.
- Click the Apple menu and select System settings.
- In the left column, click General.
- In the main section, click Software update.
- The Mac will check for the update. If it is available for installation, you can click Update now proceed. If you don’t see the update, check again later.
