iOS 18 Beta 3 Emojis and Stickers

Almost two weeks ago, Apple released developer beta 3 of all its operating systems, including iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. In this video, we explained the main new features. However, a few days ago, Apple updated the developer beta 3 release an updated version. This usually happens when you w ant to roll back or fix a bug to prevent it from spreading in an update. Although no major changes have been seen between the two versions, Apple has removed changes to stickers and emojis introduced in the first beta 3 of iOS 18.

Apple removes emoji changes from iOS 18 beta 3

One of the biggest new features in iOS 18 Developer Beta 3 was the sticker and emoji panel of the keyboard of our iPhone and iPad. The change allowed Include iOS 18 stickers as emojis in messages. Previously, these stickers could only be used by sending them alone, which increased in size on the screen, or by introducing them as a reaction to messages, photographs and videos. In this way, the user could see the emoji stickers directly inserted into their messages.

However, Apple removed this change in the revised iOS 18 Developer Beta 3 release. No explanation has been given for the move and no malfunction of the change has been observed among users who have the original version installed on their devices. It is likely that Apple wants to finish refining the change before officially releasing it as beta versions for developers. But we cannot confirm that the feature will return in beta 4. It is enough to know that Apple is working on this change and that we could see it in the future.

By the way, beta 3 also introduced one more change regarding stickers and emojis. This was unification of emoji, stickers and Memoji in a single panel, so that the user can access all of them through the same selector. This feature remains intact in the revised beta 3 of iOS 18.
