iOS 17.3

After the classic Christmas holidays, Apple got back to work with the second beta version of iOS 17.3, butand was forced to remove it after rendering iPhones useless that they installed it.

It’s been a few weeks off without much news about Apple or its updates. It’s Apple’s classic Christmas break, which ended today with the launch of the new beta 2 of iOS 17.3, in addition to the rest of the beta 2 versions for watchOS, macOS, etc. Shortly after its launch, complaints began on social media, including Twitter and Mastodon, with many users pointing out that their iPhone had become unusable after installing this Beta 2 and all they see is a black screen and a wheel that keeps spinning. The solution was not too complicated, since a simple restore of the iPhone to the previous version was more than enough to get everything back as it was, although for those who did not make a backup, this which on the other hand should not happen if you are a beta user, this means the possibility of losing a lot of data.

We do not know the causes of this problem, Why did this happen to some users while others were able to update without issue. This is not related to the iPhone model, since it happens with different models, nor was it possible to find a common item for everyone who ended up with a used iPhone during the update. There is talk on social networks of a problem linked to the accessibility function of pressing on the back of the iPhone to activate functions, but this is not the cause of this failure either. The matter ended with Apple removing Beta 2 from its development center, so it is now impossible to install it, and we are waiting for a new version to come out without this “little problem”.
