Another blow to the table is about to arrive from Apple TV +. The Cupertino-based company is working on new attractions for its streaming video service, and may soon announce a big deal with a top filmmaker: Matthew Vaughn. The director of films like Kingsman or Kick-Ass returns with a new spy film.
According to Deadline, Vaughn is close to making a deal with Apple Original Films for “Argylle”. This is his next film, produced by his own label MARV, which will have a cast full of big stars such as Bryce Dallas-Howard and Henry Cavill
This agreement, which would not be the first that Matthew Vaughn concludes with Apple after selling the rights to “Tetris”, would have an estimated value of around $ 200 million. A significant price for a single film, but Apple would already have plans to turn it into a franchise.
On the other hand, not only are new movies coming to Apple TV +, but already successful series are getting renewed as well. In a press release, Apple announced the renewal of “Physics”, the comedy-drama starring Rose Byrne. This announcement is given just with the arrival of the end of the season, available from today August 6.
Still, we continue to see the Apple TV + catalog mature. A content library that it gains in quantity and quality over the months, with clips of all kinds like the recently arrived second season of “Ted Lasso”. Apple is putting all the meat on the grill to attract all kinds of audiences to its streaming platform.
