Today isn’t Friday, but it’s still premiere day on Apple TV+. After promoting it with a trailer, we already have the start of ‘Airborne Kidnapping’, the series with actor Idris Elba in which he deals with the hijacking of a transoceanic flight.
Besides having Idris Elba as the protagonist, the series has an incentive beyond being a pole: each of its episodes tells the event in real time in the style of what happened with Jack Bauer in the series ’24’. We are therefore not talking about any innovation, even if it had not yet given juice on Apple TV +.
From business-to-business negotiation to kidnapping negotiation
Everything will focus on what happens inside the plane that flies from the United States to London, although we will also see how, from the United Kingdom, we will have the help of the anti-terrorist agent Archie Panjabi. The tension will come in the negotiations, since the protagonist will be a financial negotiator who you will have to use your applied skills to save the life of the whole passage
Behind the cameras is the 60Forty studio, responsible for quite notable series such as ‘Slow Horses’ which already has two seasons and a third confirmed. If we add to that the actor that is Elba, we can have another success or at least a decent opening series while we wait for the premiere of the second season of ‘Fundación’.
For now, you can watch the first two episodes of “Securetro en la aire” on Apple TV+ today, with a new episode airing weekly from now on. There will be a total of seven episodes that should keep us going during the month of July.

In Applesphere | Everyone says it’s terrible, but I’m addicted to this mini-series that you can see at a glance and only has Apple TV+
