Apple released a new firmware update for the whole range of wireless headphones thus reaching the new version 4e71.
If you have AirPods, you have a new update to update them. Specifically, Apple has released a new firmware version for AirPods 2 and 3, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, leaving out only the first generation AirPods, which have not been on sale for a long time. The new firmware is called 4e71, and it will be automatically installed on your headset. Apple doesn’t usually give details about updating its headphones, and this time isn’t an exception to the norm, so at the moment we don’t know of any news that comes with this update.
How to know the firmware version of your AirPods? It’s easy to know, you just need to connect the AirPods, whatever the model, to your iPhone or iPad, and in Settings, in the General section and in the Information submenu, you can check the firmware version installed. It is essential that the AirPods are connected via Bluetooth, otherwise this menu item will not appear on the screen.
How to Train AirPods Update? There is no way to initiate the update manually, so you will have to wait for the new firmware to be downloaded to the headset and installed. The only way to speed up the process is to put the AirPods in their case, put them on charge and open the case so that they connect to your iPhone or iPad, and from the latter it seems that the download update is faster.
Have you updated your AirPods? Did you notice any changes after installing the new firmware? Well, leave a comment with the news that you have been able to detect. We will publish the information as soon as we know more about this new version.
