Apple has opened its repair policy for several years and intends to continue to improve. This week, the company confirmed that independent repair shops will be able to use genuine used Apple parts for repairs starting later this year. But this advantage will only be compatible with certain models.
Permitted parts include displays, batteries and cameras and will eventually expand to biometric sensors used for Face ID and Touch ID. This new system can be used by iPhone 15 and later.
