The initiatives promoted by Apple in favor of respect for the environment and its participation in organizations focused on this type of objective do not stop. Just days after announcing a millionaire investment in a forestry project, the company has now shared short-term action to raise funds for Earth Day.
In the recent promotion for the celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Apple has announced that it will donate $ 1 to Conservation International for every Apple Pay transaction made on Apple’s website.
Apple also supports Earth Day with donations
Apple worked with Conservation International since 2018. At the time, the Bitten Apple had committed to donate for every device delivered through the Apple GiveBack program. The association also collaborated on projects to protect Colombian mangrove forests and preserve Kenyan grasslands in 2019. Conservation International is described as follows:
“Conservation International is dedicated to highlighting and securing the essential benefits that nature provides to humanity. By combining fieldwork with innovations in science, policy and finance, Conservation International has helped protect more than six million square kilometers of land and sea in more than 70 countries. “
Earth Day is important to Apple, and Apple is constantly making various efforts to highlight it. Typically, Apple updates logos at Apple retail stores to include a green leaf and provides green t-shirts for employees. And it also brightens up the day with special activities in the App Store and its, already announced, Earth Day Apple Watch Challenge.
