Has your app been removed from the App Store? Apple promises to send you a report explaining the situation.
There is only one legit source to download apps for iPhone and iPad: Application store. Although it has many advantages, it must be admitted that Apple has full control of the platform, so it is free to apply its own rules. In other words, developers should adhere to any guidelines Apple imposes on them, as they can remove an app at any time.
One of the complaints from developers is that Apple can remove apps from its own store., and often the Apple company does not explain the reasons for this action very well. But that’s about to change, or at least that’s what some very prominent sources say.
Apple’s explanation in more detail when deleting apps
It was the Financial Times that mentioned that one of Apple’s decisions for this year is to promise developers that Apple would improve their explanations why your app is removed from app store.
The report notes that nearly a third of shareholders backed a resolution calling for greater transparency from Apple about its dealings with foreign governments. It was last March. The petitioners wanted to know more about the removal of specific apps from the Chinese App Store. For example, some Bible and Quran study tools disappeared from the store at the end of 2021.
For such reason, Apple will now provide more details on removing apps within your market. This new report would be supported by Apple’s transparency service, which would launch a series of rules so that the reports are as complete as possible, all so that the developer can correct the negative aspects that accompany this violation.
But that might not be enough information for some activists. The most recent report says China cited 34 violations of the law in the first six months of 2021. The country asked Apple to remove 89 apps. Apple did not object to any of these requests.
In addition to developer reports, Apple promised investors it could disclose each government’s legal basis for app takedown requests.. But, in the case of information by country, Apple would not offer explanations by application, although this is one of the future requests.
As a reminder to users, if Apple removes an app from the App Store and you have installed it, you can use it, at least until you delete itbecause it will not be possible to install it again due to the ban.
Apple is committed to transparency, both for users and developers. We’ll see what next steps Apple will take to completely improve these processes to create a clean business.
