In recent years, we have seen how international organizations have started to monitor the “good” practices of technology companies. A control that tries to protect consumers and third-party developers so that they are not tied to the control of big guys like Apple. And yes, Apple has been in the spotlight on several occasions. Apple has received numerous complaints about payment gateways from the App Store and now the competition regulator in The Netherlands
According to the Dutch Consumers and Markets Authority, Apple must change its unreasonable conditions in the App Store regarding the App Store payment system. And for somewhat inexplicable reasons, they point out that Apple must allow other payment methods to be used in dating apps
Curious to say the least, In the end, it would be good for all of us to have the possibility of using different means of payment. In any app store, this obviously has financial implications for stores, but their high volume of sales may justify opening. And you, what do you think of this controversy? Do you think we should have more freedom when shopping in stores like the App Store?
