Major changes for the iPhone 15 do not include one for RAM!
At this time of year rumors about the next iPhone are the daily bread. Among them, there are those who have very high expectations and those who deny them with more realistic arguments. This time we are going to review one of the less encouraging ones. He himself took it upon himself to confirm that Apple will not include high-speed RAM in the iPhone 15.
According to information shared by ShrimpApplePro on Twitter, the iPhone 15 will not introduce major changes to its RAM memory and instead, it will be a component that debuts with the iPhone 16 which should be released in 2024.
New to iPhone 15 doesn’t include high-speed RAM
The information in question indicates that the iPhone 15 Pro will feature the A17 chip and LPDDR5 memorythe same as iPhone 14. While the A18 Bionic chip will be based on TSMC’s 3nm process like this year’s A17 Bionic and will feature LPDDR5X memory for the iPhone 16.
While new RAM is out of the question, the iPhone 15 Pro could come with 8GB of RAM instead of the 6GB currently offered on high-end iPhones. However, already months before its launch, those of Cupertino have enough time to surprise us.
And it is that unlike previous editions, to date the only information confirmed by Apple is that the new devices of 2023 must do without the Lightning connection in favor of the popular USB-C connection, to comply with the latest laws Europeans.
Meanwhile, industry experts and analysts believe that some of the new things that will arrive with the iPhone 15 are:
- Design: A radical change in the design is not expected, although the side frames could be reduced and we could have a change in the shape of the back, similar to that of an iPhone 5C.* Cameras: Rumors say that Apple could include a new periscope camera technology with which to zoom really incredible.
- 5G modem from Apple: Apple should divest Qualcomm permanently and continue to manufacture its own 5G modems.
- A17 Bionic chip: A next-gen leap is expected and this chip is rumored to be fabricated using a 3nm process.
- No Face ID under the screenApple probably won’t have this technology ready until, at least until 2024, we’ll see Dynamic Island.
