Christmas is coming very soon. After announcing discounts in the form of gift cards for Black Friday, Apple has also released its famous Christmas spot. A place to congratulate the holidayalways with a positive message and, this year, with a very catchy rhythm.
A substantial change from previous years’ commercials, which emphasized a more family-friendly environment and had, starting with transitions and music, a more relaxed tempo. A tempo which invited more reflection and which now remains replaced by a whole celebration and more than a smile for the effects of the video.
The joy of music takes on a new beat
In the video above these lines, titled Share the Joy, we see Bhavi and Bizarrap perform their song “PUFF” running through the streets of the city. They both listen to the song on their AirPods Pro with Audio Sharing, which syncs playback for both people.
During the one and a half minute short film, we see how objects turn into snowflakes continue with the Christmas theme which has little to do with the cozy place where the action takes place. At the end, the phrase “Share the joy of the holidays with Share Audio on AirPods Pro” appears, although these AirPods are not really the protagonists of the spot.
Generally, Apple’s advertisements focus on the experience that the device offers much more than the device itself. Years ago Apple does not tell us about product specifications or technical details. In the case at hand, that of the AirPods, it does not tell us anything other than the audio sharing function that allows us to enjoy listening in sync with other people.
Other values, such as the freedom of wireless headphones, are implicit in the video and not directly addressed. A really interesting mode of advertising that sometimes contrasts sharply with that used by other brands in the field of technology. A way that focuses on remembering us what can we do with airpods this christmas.
