Bad timing for Mark Zuckerberg. All of the apps that are part of its internet giant, Meta, are experiencing connection issues around the world. This includes both WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram as well as other smaller apps like Facebook Messenger. Even Oculus, the virtual reality glasses service, fell at the same time.
Since the one thing all of these apps have in common is that they’re owned by Meta, everything points to a problem with their infrastructure, although at the time of this writing, the company has not yet made a statement. Now might be a good time to look for alternatives to WhatsApp, at least while the downfall lasts.
The problems are different for each application, but in all cases they prevent correct use, preventing you from enjoying the functions of each service. For example, WhatsApp crashes if the user try to send pics or any other type of multimedia content; however, EL ESPAÑOL – El Androide Libre was able to verify that messages are still sent and received correctly, displaying the mark of message received without issue.
All Meta apps with issues
On the other hand, for some users WhatsApp has fallen completely, preventing even the normal use of the instant messaging application, the most popular in Europe and many other countries. The term “WhatsApp” has become a trend on Twitterwhere the social network has been filled with complaints from users reporting issues.
In the case of Instagram, users report difficulties in using the mobile application, with continuous outages in all sections of the social network specializing in photographs and “Reels”. For many people, Instagram has completely crashed, and does not allow new posts; In some cases, attempting to post will result in an error message.
The Facebook app also suffers from similar issues, with many users unable to continue using the social network; Associated apps like Messenger have the same flaws. The most curious case is that of Oculus, the virtual reality company which was acquired by Facebook and the creator of the Meta Quest glasses; its platform is also down, preventing players from using their devices normally
As the minutes passed, more and more users were affected. Until, about an hour after seeing the first failures, all applications returned to normal. Without official confirmation from Meta, everything indicates that this is a temporary problem.
