Just over a month ago we talked about the cheapest charger we recommend, one that sells Ikea at the cheapest you can expect. Only 5 euros.
Just the day we wrote an article I went to a famous furniture store to find one and try it out. When something looks too good to be true it's not worth it, so we've spent more than a month using it as a full-scale wireless charger. Helpful?
Great minimalist design
Called LIVBOJ, the Ikea Wireless Charger comes in two colors: black and white. The charger has as little design as possible, and that like most chargers on the market is a circular base where you can leave the phone.
The base is matte plastic and its soft touch. The center has a ++ sign made of non-stick rubber, which allows the cellphone to move in normal conditions.
One of the important features of the Ikea charger is that the power input is USB C, which is our favorite, as the cheapest charging sockets still use less USB. It is important to note that does not include cable or charger, something good when you have one (to avoid electrical pollution) but that will force us to pay for one in case you need a cable.
The charger has a small white LED next to the light port when charging the device. The light is dimmed and it doesn't bother us completely.
Charging experience: slow, but reliable
As we would expect from a technical specification, the Ikea wireless charger is fast-tempered. How little? Yes, it depends on the cell phone we use, its capacity and the comparison to the standard charger we put into it.
In our experiments we used the Galaxy Note 10+, a cellphone I use often. This mobile has a 4300 mAh battery and features a 25 W charger as usual. The Samsung cable charger is about 5 times faster than the Ikea, though due to the thermal restrictions it doesn't even work at full power, while the Ikea & # 39; s Qi charger keeps its power limited to the maximum.
Depending on the speed, a cell phone like the Note 10+ charges one hour it takes about 4 hours to fully charge through the Ikea charger.
Without slowing down (something we already knew would happen) the feeling of wireless charging is excellent. The phone and charger do not wish to warm up during charging, it is very easy to leave the phone in good condition and we do not see any noise from the coils (something that was my previous charger and was very annoying).
Best wireless charger for nighttand
Headphones like Glass Buds + can be charged on this wireless charger.
The Ikea charger runs fine, though not the fastest on the market. When charging the phone at night, slow charging is good for damaging the battery life as much as possible. Overall, if you're going to have a phone charge overnight, the fact that it charges less or faster doesn't matter much.
At this time of arrest maybe going to Ikea is not the best plan, but the next time you go or if you plan to buy online, it's a totally important charge.
