Audiobooks have become particularly important in recent years. Far beyond its core functionality of providing excellent history for the visually impaired, many users take advantage of audiobooks to “listen” while performing other tasks. Let’s face it, we don’t even have time to read, and that’s a shame.
However, where there is a need, there will be capitalists ready to offer a service for which we are ready to pay. Apple will probably make the jump to audiobooks during WWDC this 2022 and could even be integrated into Apple One.
We are not (obviously) talking about the possibility of listening to audiobooks on iPhone or iPad, something which has already been integrated into the application for many years. Books native to iOS, we are obviously talking about being able to access the catalog of audiobooks that Apple deems appropriate within a monthly subscription or Apple One conglomerates.
Let’s be honest, no one is interested in a book subscription system for iOS, regular readers usually don’t use iPad or iPhone as their regular source, however, if we talk about listening to them, things change. In The Economist They are clear on this, and it would be the first time that a reputable media point to this possibility.
In recent years, Apple has made big bets with different multimedia offers like Apple Arcade, its video game subscription system, News +, as a conglomerate of publications and news or Fitness + which offers us courses in aerobics. Now, everything indicates that an audiobook service could be integrated by the end of the year.
Obviously, analysts like Mark Gurman have been pointing to this possibility for months, however, the dates of this latest publication match. With an early presentation at WWDC2022 and a possible launch coinciding with iOS 16, will it be included in the Apple One plan?
