A few days before the start of the Christmas campaign, with the purchase of gifts and outings to visit our friends and family during the holidays, Google Maps is updated to help us make the most of this holiday season of departures.

Google launched three new features aimed at improving the search for sites, adding the augmented realitynew filters for electric vehicle chargers and new accessibility setting This affects search results.

Find Nearby Sites with Live View

As the company announced last September, the augmented reality of Live View is enriched with a new feature: the Research. Google Maps has started to activate in some cities the new live search.

Starting next week, a new experience of visual search will hit the cities of London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, San Francisco and Tokyo. In these cities will appear a new camera icon in search bar. Tap it to activate Live View augmented reality and you can discover the places around you just by pointing the camera, seeing their name, property type, rating, and occupancy level at that time.

How to Try New Google Maps Features Before Everyone Else

Find the best charging station for your electric vehicle

New Side-by-Side Ev Filters

If we have an electric vehicle of which we want to find the best electric station, we now have new filters in the Google Maps search. You can now search for sites that have fast charge there filter by connector type. Thus, drivers will find the best charging station for their car.

Discover the accessible sites

Application Google Maps added in Settings > Accessibility Settings the new option accessible sites, which shows whether the places we are looking for have features that facilitate wheelchair accessibility, as well as seating, restrooms, and parking. With this option enabled, search results will show the accessibility icon.
