Samsung has once again become the benchmark for smartwatches with the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, a path that began with the Galaxy Watch 4, the first model with the new Wear OS.

Samsung, not Google, was the first to tell us about the benefits of the new version of the operating system; however, it looks like the company is still experimenting and checking what is possible and impossible to do, judging by the latest update.
Samsung watch gets stuck
Some Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic users are complaining that the latest system update leaves the devices completely stuck. In other words, ‘bricked’, turned into ‘bricked’.
Specifically, the problem appears to be with firmware version R8xxXXU1GVI3 which was released last month. In theory, this was a minor update, as Samsung only reported fixing minor system stability and reliability issues on its smartwatches.
Affected users claim to have installed the update when prompted by the watch. Initially, nothing unusual happens and the update installs without problems, and it is possible to continue using the watch. However, after some time, the device starts to crash until it stops working. Some users claim that this happened to them when the watch ran out of battery, or if they tried to restart
It may seem strange that these issues only appeared a month after the update was released. but keep in mind that it was a gradual launch, first in South Korea and then, little by little, in the rest of the countries. So it makes sense that the more people install it, the more affected users show up. In fact, issues like this are one of the reasons why these types of rolling releases are made, so that they don’t affect all users at once.
The issue has already been confirmed by Samsung in a public statement; in response, the company decided pause updates and the new firmware should not reach more devices for now. A future update will remove this “bug” and it will be safe to install.
If we have already installed the update, it is recommended not to restart the device and make sure that it still has a battery. in other words, we have to keep it from fading. If it is already too late for us, Samsung recommends that we take the watch to the technical service.
