1.Backup

First of all, what you need to do is make sure that you have a recent backup. Having a backup will give you the peace of mind that you can revert to iOS 14 whenever you want, losing as little data and apps as possible.

2.Apple warning

On the site where you can find the public beta Since iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and tvOS 15, you have a big disclaimer that you should read before installing anything:

Please note that since public beta software has not yet been released by Apple, it may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not perform as well as released software. Make sure to back up your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and Mac using Time Machine before installing the beta software. Since Apple TV purchases and data are stored in the cloud, there is no need to back up your Apple TV. Install beta software only on non-production devices that are not business critical. We strongly recommend that you install on a secondary system or device, or secondary partition on your Mac. “

3.The different errors you may have

As with every release of a beta, you never know for sure different errors that we can find. But there are some errors which are more common than others and which usually appear in all betas of Apple.

These failures are usually: poor battery life, system and screen crashes, technical issues with iCloud, and unexpected phone restarts.

4.Third party applications

Is it another fairly common problem that appears when you install one of Apple’s betas and deserves a section just for it. In turn, this is one of the reasons why Apple is launching these betas, so that developers can test the capacity of their applications in new operating systems.

Remember that when you install the beta, the app developers they have not yet optimized their applications for new features introduced by the operating system that most likely do not work properly or at all.

In short, there is many things to keep in mind before installing iOS 15 on your phone. Personally, I first install it on my iPad to see how the main apps work. After a few months of testing and the release of several betas, this is when I plan to install it on my iPhone.
